Job Description 

• Responsible to dispense best-in-class optical/vision consultation at the location and work in coordination with the store manager and sales team to achieve a consistently high level of customer service and store targets.
• Performing eye testing and prescription writing
• Dispensing and selling optical frames, contact lenses, and sunglasses.
• Checking optical frames and contact lenses for accuracy and comfort.
• Advising customers on eyewear options, optical lenses, and contact lenses.
• Achieving the sales targets with regards to selling optical frames, sunglasses, contact lenses, and other accessories.
• Supporting sales staff in their day-to-day transactions.
• Performing in-shop inventory and ordering stock.
• Maintaining general cleanliness and hygienic standards.
• Liaising with sales representatives from eye care product suppliers

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a retail optical store environment
• Good knowledge of lenses & other eyewear products
• Well versed with vision disorders
• Ware of the latest equipment & techniques for vision correction
• Excellent communication (including spoken & written English)
• Good personality & immaculately groomed
• Excellent customer service skills.
• DHA or MOH eligibility

·         Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.

·         Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project.

·         Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review.

·         Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

·         Obtains final copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment and by making purchases from vendors when required.

·         Ensures operation of design equipment and software by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment.

·         Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to complete projects.
